NORFOLK

Norfolk: The County That Keeps on Giving (Slightly After Christmas)

In what has become a Storers Tours tradition, Matt and Christie exchanged Christmas presents in the most sensible way possible: several weeks late, in the form of a Norfolk coastal escape. Some people unwrap socks on December 25th. We unwrap Cromer Beach in January (or February, or whenever we got around to it).

Our meticulously planned itinerary featured a charming cottage in the Georgian market town of Holt—the perfect base for exploring Norfolk's North Sea coastline. From the Victorian pier charm of Cromer to the wind-swept beauty of Sheringham Beach, we conducted an exhaustive study of what makes the Norfolk coast one of England's best-kept secrets.

The verdict? Norfolk is criminally underrated. The timing of our visit? Fashionably late, as per Storers tradition.

The late Christmas present to ourselves? Absolutely worth the wait.
